Gretchen Rubin: The 4 Ways to Successfully Adopt New Habits
Our developer has found this great presentation within the 99U talks. Don`t feel bad about not knowing what 99U is, I didn’t know it either. But it turned out, it`s an organization powered by Behance (an online portfolio showroom for creative works) and it aims to provide “missing curriculum for making ideas happen”. While TED focuses on “ideas worth spreading”, 99U doesn’t “want to give you more ideas”, but “empower you to make good on the ones you’ve got”.
To put it plainly, 99U represents a more practical approach and tries to provide handy ideas and knowledge to help you realize your ideas. So far, I have seen only this video from their collection and I am sold.
After watching it, it has become perfectly clear why I have always had and probably will have issues keeping my inner rules. Why I always find excuses not to go to the gym or study. Because I am an “Obliger who will respond to outer rules, but so much to inner rules”. Meaning, I make my colleagues happy, but not so much myself…good to know.
